AUSTRALIAN WORKERS’ DECISION. DIRECT ACTION DISAPPROVED. ARBITRATION COURT FAVOURED. (Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, January 22. The annual congress of the Australian Workers’ Union defeated a motion to have the pqlicy of the organisation changed from arbitration to direct action in order to redress workers' grievances. It was decided by an overwhelming majority to leave any disputes to be settled by the Arbitration Court.
