Seeing a leg protruding from a hedge at a corner known as the Devil’s Elbow,, near Mansfield, the driver of a motor bus' investigated and found a labourer named Eyre terribly injured. Fifteen yards distant the dead body of another labourer named Watts was concealed in the bushes.
