Margarine is now very extensively used in England In 1907 44,000 tons was manufactured; this figure is now estimated to have grown to 150,000. Grain which receives electrical treatment in the earlv stages of growth has been found to yield a crop 10 to 20 per cent heavier than that grown by the ordinary method.
