WAITOMO CAVES.
A NEW HOSTEL. TENDERS TO BE CALLED. (Special to Daily Times.) AUCKLAND. December 19. Tenders for the building of the new hostel at tho Waitomo Caves are to be called during the first week in January, according to Mr B. M. Wilson, general manager of the Government Tourist Department, who is visiting Auckland. Mr Wilson stated that there would be no delay in commencing building operations once the tender was accepted. The plans provide for an up-to-date boarding house with all the latest appointments. Sufficient accommodation will be provided to meet the requirement of tourists for many years to come. Mr Wilson said that if everything went well the hostel would be completed for next summer.
