PENSACOLA, December 4.—Sailed : Anglo-Columbian, for Auckland. The Breeze sailed last night for Oamaru, Timaru, and Lyttelton to complete loading for Wellington and Wanganui. The Holmdale arrived here at noon yesterday from Wellington after a lengthy passage of 43 hours. The vessel was delayed by a southerly gale. She is timed to sail to-night for Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui. The Calm has been fixed to load at Dunedin on Friday for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui. The Kahika, which arrived here yesterday afternoon from Gisborne after a lengthy and stormy passage, is to sail this afternoon for Oamaru, Timaru, and Lyttelton to complete loading for Wellington, Napier, and Gisborne. The Opihi is expected to leave Westport late to-night with a cargo of coal for discharge at Dunedin, She should arrive on Friday. Tho Kurow is now due at Dunedin to-mor-row from Auckland, via Lyttelton, with Island fruit and general cargo. She will sail on Thursday for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington. and Auckland. The A. and A. Line steamer Tregenna Is now due at Dunedin to-morrow from Lyttelton to discharge a quantity of New York cargo. The Gale is due here this afternoon from Lyttelton, and Is listed to sail to-morrow evening for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Plcton, and Wanganui. The German barque Gustav left Auckland on Sunday morning for Sydney, where she will dry dock. The vessel will afterwards load at an Australian port for the United Kingdom. The Turakina is to sail finally from Auckland on December 15 for London and West of England ports, via Panama. The Admiralty oil tanker Nucula sailed from Los Angeles on November 29 for Auckland. She Is bringing a full cargo of oil fuel for the cruisers Dunedin and Diomede, and Is due about December 16. The Swedish motor ship Bullaren, which left Norway on November 4 for Wellington and Bluff, arrived at Colon on November 26. From Bluff, where she 1b due about January 9. the Bullaren proceeds to Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney, and Melbourne to complete discharge. WEST HENSHAW DUE TO-DAY. Messrs Turnbull, Martin, and Co. advise that the steamer West Henshaw Is due at Dunedin to-day from Lyttelton to discharge a large quantity of general cargo, case oil, and lumber, shipped at Pacific Coast ports. The vessel will sail about Saturday direct for San Francisco. THE LIGHTHOUSE STEAMER. A telegram received from Captain Bollons states that the Government steamer Tu-, tanekai will arrive at Dunedin this afternoon from Akaroa and Moerakl. The vessel will load stores and cargo to-morrow morning, and Is expected to sail to-morrow evening for southern and West Coast lighthouses. The Tutanekai was delayed at Akaroa for several days owing to bad weather. COLAC FROM MONTREAL. The steamer Colac is expected to leave Lyttelton to-night for Dunedin to continue discharging general cargo from Sydney (Cape Breton) and Montreal. The vessel will sail about Thursday for Sydney. TONGARIRO AT AUCKLAND. Tho New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Tongarlro arrived at Auckland yesterday morning from London, via Panama and Suva. The vessel is expected to leave the northern port on Friday for Dunedin, where she should arrive on December 13 to discharge part cargo. CORINTHIC FOR WELLINGTON. Carrying passengers and cargo, the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Line steamer Corlnthic left Southampton on December 3 for Wellington and Auckland, via Panama. The vessel Is due at Wellington on January 10. A CARGO OF DATES. The British India steamer Gairsoppa arrived at Sydney on November 27 with a full cargo of dates from the Persian Gulf. STEAMERS FOR LOADING. According to the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company’s latest Itinerary the Matatua, City of Winchester, and Gallic, now In Australia. will come to New Zealand to load produce for England. THE CANADIAN COMMANDER. The Canadian Government Line agency has been notified by cable that the Canadian Commander arrived at Panama at 2 a.m. on November 29, and sailed again at 5 p.m. on the same date for New York, Boston, and Halifax. The vessel left Wellington on November 3. REMUERA LEAVES SOUTHAMPTON. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Remuera left Southampton on December 4 for Wellington, Lyttelton, Port Chalmers, and Bluff, via Curacao and Panama. The vessel will be due at Wellington on January 9 to land passengers and mails, the cargo being for the South Island porta mentioned*

With Liverpool cargo for discharge at "Wellington, the Shaw, Savill, and Albion liner Arawa arrived at Wellington on Saturday afternoon, and is to sail to-day for Lyttelton, thence Dunedin, to complete, after which she loads in New Zealand for New York, Boston, and London. PROGRESS FOR WAIKATO TRADE. The steamer Progress arrived at Dunedin yesterday morning from Wellington, after a lengthy and stormy passage of 63 hours. The vessel loaded general cargo for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, New Plymouth, and Port Waikato. The Progress will be permanently employed in the Dunedin-Port Waikato trade, making a trip from this port about every two weeks. She will run in conjunction with the Roose Shipping Company, which conducts a river cargo service between Port Waikato Heads and various towns, including Hamilton and Cambridge. SHAW-SAVILL LINER MATAROA. Tho liner Mataroa, which is making her initial voyage to New Zealand under the Shaw, Savill, and Albion flag, is clue at Wellington from London and Southampton on December 12 to land Wellington and South Island passengers. The same day she is to resume her voyage to Auckland to land the remainder of the passengers and to unload a quantity of general merchandise. NOTICES TO, MARINERS From December 10, for a period of several months, dredge 222 will be operating in the vicinity of the steamer basin, between Rattray and Birch street wharves, Dunedin. The dredge has mooring laid out fore and aft and athwart the basin, and vessels navigating in the vicinity must exercise care to avoid fouling the moorings. The Marine Department reports that the master of the steamer Vvaihemo reports having on November 4, whilst on a voyage from San Francisco to Suva, passed a patch of discoloured water with a small break on it and a white scum, covering an area of about two cables, in latitude lOdeg. 18min south, longitude 172 deg. 26min. west.
