HIGH SCHOOL OLD BOYS.

FORMATION OF SOCIAL CLUB. Mr J. H. C. Somerville presided over a, meeting of Old Boys of the Otago Boys’ High School, held in the R.S.A. club rooms last night. The proposal before the meeting was the formation of an Old Boys’ Social Club, with the view of drawing all old boys of the school more closely together. The proposal to form a club was spokea to by Drs G. Galloway and Roland Fulton, and Messrs V. E. D. Thomson, D. Solomon, \V. R. Brinsley, E. Macassey, D. Spedding, C. A. Latimer, C. Macandrew, H. Webb, D. Steward and R. L. Fairmaid. Mr Solomon moved —"That an Old Boys’ Social Club should be formed, such club to be a distinct body, and the proposal to be subject to the committee's ability to arrange finance.” The motion was seconded by Mr E. Webster, and carried.

Mr Solomon suggested that a committee of ways and means be formed to go into the question of finance, etc. The Chairman suggested that the previous working committee, consisting of R. L. Fairmaid, G. R. Peake, D. S. Stewart, A. C. Stevens, C. A. Latimer, A. Sharpe and H. Webber should be elected to the committee of ways and means. The following members were abn elected:—Messrs K. Webster, W. R. Brough, D. Solomon, E. Svicdding. J IT. C. Somerville, J. J. Muitard, E. Calder, W. R. Brinsley, W, Samson, J. Smeaton and Dr Fulton. If was decided that the committee should report to the annual meeting of the High School Old Boys’ Society in February. Subsequently Mr R. L. Fairmaid was -nv-li-tn,) convener of the committee. Mr D.
