“THE BATTLE OF MONS.”

FRENCH CRITICISM OF FILM,

WORK OP ALLIES MINIMISED,

(Press AatocioHon—By IV'egraph—Copyright.) PARIS, November 18.

The newspaper Comedia, criticising the film “Mons,” which is now being shown at kinemas throughout Britain, accuses the producer of exaggerating the role of the British force and minimising the work of the Belgian and French armies. “Thus the caption ‘The French having retreated, lefts the British Army without support.’ is a little out of proportion when it is remembered that there were only 75,000 British to millions of Belgian and French. The latter are only mentioned at the beginning, when first welcoming the British,, and then when the endurance of the British had given the French time to set their own army in order.”—A. and N.Z. Cable.
