The first quinnat salmon of the season was caught during last week-end at Lake Kanieri (reports the Greymcuth Evening Star). Greymouth fishermen caught four fine trout in the Arahura River the other evening, and were tempted to return to the same haunt. There _ appears to be an improved run of fish in the Westland rivers this season.
