QUEEN MARY AT WORK
CLOTHES FOR THE POOR. STITCHING AND REPAIRING. LONDON, November 3. Queen Mary is spending five hours a day in inspecting parcels of winter clothing, sent t the Needlework Guild for distribution to the poor people of the East End. She specialises in supervision of children’s wear.
Her Majesty does not take time to return to the Palace, but has lunch at the guild headquarters. She helps with her needle in stitching and repairing work.
