THE AWARUA.
C ONG EATULATORY MESSAG ES. (Peb United Peebs Association.) WELLINGTON, September 23. The Wellington Harbour Board has received congratulatory messages from the Governor-General and the Minister of Marine in connection with the prompt action taken to search for the' steamer Awarua, and the assistance rendered ; also congratulations to the master and crew of the tug Toia. It appears that the local harbourmaster worked out the drift of the vessel accurately, greatly helping the Dunedin, while, on the Tuesday, the Tola was actually only 15 miles from the missing steamer.
