NEGLECT OF CATTLE.

DAMAGES AGAINST COMPANY. (Per United Press Association.) NAPIER, September 23. A reserved Supreme Court judgment was given to-day in the case of W. T. Hargraves, of Stratford, the Hawke’s Bay Fanners’ Association on a claim arising out of the death and sickness of certain cattle through alleged, neglect on the part of the defendants. The defence denied a lack of care. Mr Justice Ostler, in giving a decision for the plaintiff for £267 Bs, said he was satisfied neglect was proved, and that the neglect had caused disaster to the cattle. The allegations were that pregnant cattle were left in an unsheltered and muddy paddock, and that the defendants had failed to care for them as contracted
