LONDON PUNCH
LIQUOR ADVERTISEMENTS BANNED. TRADERS’ IRONICAL COMMENT. (Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, September 22. Punch has decided to ban drink advertisements. Mr Agnew, the managing director, refuses to explain why, but the beer and whisky traders say it is a ridiculous decision, and that Punch had better change its own name. The “Pussyfoots” will scream with joy.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
