FORESTERS.
The quarterly summoned meeting of Court Pride of the Leith, A.0.F., was held on Wednesday evening, when there was a large attendance of members, with the C.R., Bro. W. J. Duncan, in charge., It was arranged to play the Association football match against Court Excelsior on October 2, and to accept the invitation to be present at the celebrations of the sixtythird anniversary of Court Enterprise. Court Pride of Waitaki, at Kurow, invited the court to a visit on October 23, which was accepted. The D.S.C.R. (Bro. T. F. M’Natty), D.S. (Bro. J. K. Macfie), and the D.W. (Bro. R. S. Vercoe) were welcomed. The election of officers for the ensuing term resulted as follows:—C.R., Bros. C. S. Hawes; S.C.R., Bro. R. S. Twose; C.T., Bro O. C. Robertson (reelected); ’C.S., Bro. J. K. Macfie (reelected); S.W., Bro. J. Witchall; J.W., Bro. C. H. A. Slack; 5.8., Bro. S. T. D. Gaudin; J. 8., Bro. A. W. Jones; trustee, Bro. J. Abbott; auditor, Bro. J. Benfell. The following were appointed as delegates to the next annual district meeting:— P.D.C.R.’s Bros. John Robertson, C. C. Robertson, P.C.R.’s Bros. J. Benfell, A. E. Brown, W. J. Duncan, H. H. Gaston, S. M. Munro. J. W. MTntyre, R. H. Rutherford, 11. C. Williamson, and C.R. Bro. C. S. Hawes. The toast of the District , Executive was responded to by all the district officers, and the visitors’ toast was responded to by P.O.R. Bro. W. Himrnel, on behalf of Court Enterprise. The newly-elected officers were installed by the district officers, and all returned thanks for their election. On behalf of *he court, the D.S.C.R. presented to P.C.R. Bro. A. W. Stables the framed certificate and collar of that office, and the D.W. presented to the winner for 1926. I.P.C.R. Bro. W. J Duncan, the Williamson membership cup, for introducing the most members in that period. One new member was admitted, and the nominations of four candidates received. The meeting was closed with the Foresters’ tribute to the fallen, which was rendered very imnressively by P.D.C.R. Bro. C. C. Robertson, and honoured in silence.
