Tattersall’s ch f Foliation, by Tracery—Eglantine 3 Twelve horses ran. Won by two lengths. Time, 3mi*i 1 _3-ssec. Coronach’s time was a record. He was last away, but was well ahead at the half distance. Caissot and Foliation came into the picture a furlong and a-half from home, but Coronach was still going with great vim. The winner’s victory amply proves his claims to be the best three-year-old of 1926, especially as he lost several lengths n't the gate. He quickly made them up, however, and was four lengths ahead when entering the straight. This race makes his season’s winning for Lord Woolavington more than £40,000. Coronach was further handicapped by the shifting of a plate during the race. CAULFIELD CUP (Pres* Association—Bv Telegraph Copyright ) MELBOURNE, September 9.
