THE CAPPING CARNIVAL.

The joyous nights of student carnival are proceeding merrily apace, the motto being “gather yo rosebuds while ye may.” This year’s conceit comes fully up to the unique standard of those of tradition, and everything rims as smoothly as a student capping concert can run —that is to say, there is the maximum of revelry and fun, and no waste of time. People go there to hear the truth, perhaps with a modicum of exaggeration in it too, but not distorted beyond recognition, and it must bo said that the entertainers find plenty to talk about, sing about, and act about. It is their maddest, merriest time, and they certainly make the most of it.
