LABOUR ATTACK ON LADY ASTOR. (Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, July 8. (Received July 9, at 10 p.m.) During the debate on the new Guardians .bill, Lady Astor referred to municipal corruption. Before she had finished the sentence,' Mr Jack Jones (Labour), shouted, “You are a liar if you sav so.” On a general demand for a withdrawal Mr Jones apologised and substituted the phrase “terminological inexactitude.” Mr G. Lansbury (Labour) protested against a wealthy woman interfering when poor peoples conditions were being discussed.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
