A PONY FOR THE BOY. THOMSONS’ FAMOUS PONIES TO BE SOLD AT THE SHOW. Almost every boy end girl end a coodlv number of grown-ups as and thoroughly enjoyed Thomsons team of famous and historical pomes (Iriven by the old-time coachman during the Exhibition. They became part of the Exhibition. To-day many people throughout New Zealand. Australia, and England are the proud possessors of a rhotograpn of Thomsons’ fourteen ponies. The novelty of the idea, together with the inherent qualities of the ponies, no doubt has aroused strong desire in the hearts of boys and girls to possess one of these desirable animals. Not only tor their own worth or as a playmate or companion, but as a hanpy souvenir of the Exhibition. The opportunity to turn desire into possession will be given at the auction sale of the fourteen famous and historical Thomsons’ ponies to be held at the Show in the Exhibition Grounds on Wednesday, June 2. at 2.30 p.m. Ponies of the size, colour, breeding, education, age, and stamp of Thomsons are very scarce in New Zealand. They are all from imported sires, ranging in age from three to six years. They have not been spoiled by children, have no vices, are not tricky, all hill bred, and therefore absolutely sure footed. They range in size from 10 hands 2in down to nine hands. Parents who wish to give their child’ on something that will educate as well ~ amuse should certainly secure oir iJ Thomsons’ fourteen famous and historical ponies.
