"I stand entirely with and behind Lord Oxford,' waa the declaration of Earl Grey, at the National Liberal Club luncheon. He added that everyone knew Lord Oxford and knew that he had been through the most trying times. He was one of the most patient and chivalrous of colleagues. Any difficulties of the Liberal Party were not of his making. His surprise was not that something hpd happened, but that it had been delayed so long. WTiat had happened would be the subject of further comment on future occasions. At present there had been no further communication between Lord Oxford and Mr Lloyd George. The Evening Standard’s political correspondent understands that it has been definitely decided that certain Radicals will vote that a censure should be moved against Mr Lloyd George, and pressed to a division. On the contrary, other* are working assidionsly to effect a reconciliation. —A. and N.Z. Cable. ACTION MUST BE TAKEN. RESULT OF LIBERAL CAUCUS. LONDON, May 29. (Received May 30, at 11.15 p.m.) Lord Oxford has returned to London, and had conferred with the leading Liberal*, an animated discussion ending at midnight. It was decided that the position of the Liberal Party was so grave that action must be taken. The Evening News sajs: “Lord Oxford has decided on war to the knife against Mr Lloyd George, who is receiving many letters trom Liberals throughout the country approving of his attitude 'during the strike.—Sun.
