CALEDONIAN BOWLING CLUB.
PRESENTATION OF PRIZES, The annual smoke concert and presenta- , tion of club trophies of the Caledonian Bowling Club was held in the club pavilion on Saturday evening. The pavilion was packed with members and visitors. Mr J. H, F. Hamel (president) occupied the chair, and presented the prizes, which were as follows: Championship Singles.—VV. Foster 1, J. Hamilton 2. Handicap Singles.—J. Ross 1, W. Henaghan 2. . Greenslade Ferns for Champion Rink.— F. Evans, L. Edwards, J. Abbott, V. Kavanagb 1; D. Pope, J. Betting, W. Gilligan, A. Honeyman 2. Championship Doubles. —J. Cullen and A. Trethawav 1, L. Edwards and A. Jones 2 Billards.—A. Emslie 1, J. Hamilton 2. Electric Progressive Doubles. Skips, A. Trethaway 1, W. Latham 2; leads, J. Hunter 1, F. Evans 2. , A lengthy toast list was honoured, including “The Dunedin Centre, ’ The President,” and ‘The Game.” Musical and elocutionary items were also provided, and keenly appreciated. Mr F. Evans presided at the piano.
