PORT CHALMERS CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH.
The annual meeting of the Port Chalmers Congregational Church was hold last night, when there was an excellent attendance of members, the Rev. N. Howard Finch (minister) presiding. The annual report of the Committee of’ Management dealt very fully with the affairs of the church, and showed what good work had been accomplished by the various associations. The Young People's League of Workers, which had done splendidly during the year, and the reformed Ladies’ Guild, came in for full commendation. The finances of the church showed that the members had fully recognised their responsibilities and contributed liberally. The reports of the Sunday school work also showed good progress In this department, and the various speakers. In referring to the church's work, all struck a very optimistic note. The olfices of secretary and treasurer becoming vacant, Messrs J. H. Crawford and Scott Miller were respectively elected to these positions. Messrs D. Mutheson, S. .lack, and Crawford were also : ppointed deacons to fill vacancies. An old member very liberally sent a donation of HO for some paiticular purpose, and a. straP or Tmitte? was appointed to act in the matter. Ti e whole meeting was an excellent one, showing signs of renewed life In the church.
