ALLEGED ASSAULT.
WOUNDING AT CHRISTCHURCH. (Per United Press Association.' CHRISTCHURCH, May 28. A disturbance, in which a man is alleged to have been wounded with a cutting instrument, took place at Woolston last night. As a result, the man was arrested on a charge of assault, with intent to cause actual bodily harm. Ernest'Edward Ernshaw, aged 20 years, received wounds as the result of which he was taken to the hospital, where the injuries were dressed. He was discharged later in the evening. John M’C'hesncy, a labourer, aged 38, was charged this morning with having with intent caused grievous bodily harm to Ernest Ernshaw. He was remanded for a week. Bail was allowed.
