The route will be from Manor place to Knox Church and back, and the ponies will be led in single file as follows:—Sandow, Donald Dinnie, Wee MacGregor, Tom Thumb, Midget, Tiny, Black Prince, Nigger, King Cole, and Japk the Giantkiller. In the Afternoon, between 3 and 4, the ponies will be driven _ as a team over the same route. As this wHI be the last appearance of these popular ponies, every boy and girl should make a point of seeing them.

In accordance with its policy of fixing charges at the lowest practicable scale, the Public Trust Office has made important reductions in the commission charged for the administration of estates. Commission on the capital of estates, when realised, is now charged (with minor exceptions) according to the following scale:— On the first £SOOO On the next £SOOO On the next £15,000 On excess of £25,000 2} per cent, per cent. 1 per cent, f per cent. When assets are transferred in kind the charges are: On the first £SOOO .. .. U per cent. On the next £SOOO .. .. | per cent. On all in excess of £IO,OOO .. i per cent. The commission charged on rent or on interest on mortgages has been reduced from 5 per cent, to 2J per cent, on amounts in excess of £SOO per annum. The Public Trustee has power to reduce the charge..when such when such a course is warranted, and reductions are readily made in suitable cases. G. H.
