ALEXANDRA DEEP LEAD. The manager of the Alexander Deep Lead Company (Mr Human) informed a representative of the Alexandra Herald that owing to the suction pump which was recently installed not functioning properly In removing the sand and silt from the claim In the process of opening up the paddock, he is discarding this means m the meantime, and is reverting to hydraulic power, having obtained the sanction of the borough council to utilise certain borough water for this purpose. Mr Homan is confident that only a few days vvill bn necessary to open up thepiuldockaf.Ur which the electric pump will be utilised to drain the claim.
