The story of a husband who talked too much in his sleep and let his wife into the secret that he had another wife in Australia was told during the hearing of a bigamy case against Leslie Knott, an engineer, aged 32 years, who pleaded, guilty and was committed for sentence. His wife, Dalla Burusso, always had the idea that he had another wife somewhere. and one night in hie sleep he said something about being frightened of the police, and called upon his real wife. Ha then left Burusso. She said that when she first met Knott he was in a uniform with gold braid, and told her he was a doctor, but he was only a steward on a ship. She was married in 1921, and he had hardly ever kept her since. Accused's own statement to the police was that his first wife died in 1919, and next year he married a girl of 18 veare against his will. A fortnight after the wedding he ran awa to sea.
