The OPEN SEASON for the Taking or Killing of Opossums in the Otago District BEGINS on Ist JUNE and ENDS on 15th JULY. Any person in bona fide occupation of land, and any one son or daughter of such person, may take Opossums on his own land without a license, provided he obtains a permit for such purpose from the Secretary of the Acclimatisation Society. Such application shall be ace mipaniod by the certificate of a Ranger or _ Secretary of the Society that the applicant is a bona fide occupier of such land, or the son or daughter of a bona tide occupier, as the case may be. There is no charge for such permit. All skins taken must be stanped. whether such skins are to be retained or sold.
