A HEAT WAVE AT LOGAN PARK.
THOUSANDS ENJOY CONDITIONS. TWENTY-FIRST WEEK CLOSES. During the week-end the barometer rose with welcome sudden- * ness, and an unexpected heat-wave visited Dunedin. At Logan Park the effect was most noticeable and the Exhibition was again the destination of many thousands. Yesterday closed the twenty-first week, and although the afternoon was a quiet one, added attractions in the evening swelled the attendance totals to a figure that keeps the three milllion goal well in sight. In the evening the boys of the Waitaki High School entertained in the Festival Hall, while the hand of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders played before a big audience. The attendance total for the day was 17,481, making the grand total 2,641,290. An average of 18,880 per day is required to reach the three million. To date the daily average is 21,130.
