“Worker.”—(l and 2) The time at which shearing and harvesting begin in Australia depends on the district and, necessarily also, on the weather, but it may generally be said to be any time after July. (3 and 4) We are unable to reply with certainty. The question of shearers’ rates is now under consideration. The secretary of the New Zealand Workers’ Union, Wellington, should be able to say.
