OTAGO FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION.

WEEKLY MEETING. The weekly meeting of the committee of the Otago Football Association wa s held last night. Mr J. B. M'Callum occupied the chair. It was decided that Mr Alex. Cook be appointed a member of the committee. The Secretary of the Port Chalmers Convent School wrote asking for permission to enter a Fifth Grade team in the competitions this year. —Kceeived. Mr Scott gave notice of motion that the home and-home principle be adhered to as far as possible, but that the committee reserved the right to deviate from that principle when it was considered to be in the best interests of Association football. Mr F. Bennett wrote stating that owing to his transfer to Christchurch he wished to tender his resignation as a member ot the Management Committee. —The resignation was accepted with regret, and it was decided to thank Mr Bennett for his services in the past. The committee was asked to decide whether a player could be ordered off the held f°t deliberately and continually kicking the ban out of play.—The decision was that a player could be ’cautioned for wasting time, and that if he repeated the offence he could be ordered off. Mr Griffin (town clerk, St. Kilda) wrote stating that the council had decided to grant the association the use of Culling Park for the season on the same terms as obtained last season, with the exception that the council reserved the right to use the ground on any two Wednesdays and any two Saturdays, if required, during the period between April 1 and September 30, subject to 1-t clear days' notice being *given.—Keceived. Me G. A. Lawin (town clerk) wrote stating that the following grounds had been allotted to the association for the season on the usual terms: —Gardens, the Clear, Littlebourne, Robin Hood, the Mornington reserve, three areas on the Oval, and the Moutccillo Ground.—Mr Grace explained that the association had secured the full use of the Moutccillo ground instead of sharing it with the Rugby League.—The letter was received. , Mr E. M. Macpherson (bon. secretary ol the Y.M.C.A. Club) wrote applying for affiliation tor a First and Second Grade team for the coming season. He also applied for the use of a ground for a room in the dressing sheds on the Oval.— The use of a ground and a room was granted, and it was decided that the question ot affiliation would be considered later along with other applications. It was decided that a combined Dunedin team be put in the field against a team from the visiting warships on Saturday and that the Kaitangata and Seachff Clubs be asked to nominate representatives. it was also decided to make an effort to get a band from the warships to accompany the .visiting team. The question of arranging a junior match as a curtain-raiser was left in tne hands of Mr Scott and the secretary.
