AUCKLAND To NORFOLK ISLAND. In response to numerous requests to run an Excursion Trip to the Historical Island of Norfolk, the Company has decided, if sufficient inducement is received, to despatch the S.S. MANAIA on a TEN DAYS’ EXCURSION TO NORFOLK ISLAND, leaving Auckland about the 26th APRIL, and remaining four days at the Island. Norfolk Island is one of the most beautiful spots in the Pacific Ocean, having no winter or summer, the climate being subtropical. The Island is also the home of the descendants of the mutineer of the H.M.S. Bounty, and until recently the headquarters of the Melanesian Mission) at which station the celebrated Selwyn Memorial Chapel stands. The Company invites persons wishing to make the Excursion to send in a written application to the Auckland Office on or before the 17th APRIL, after which date definite advice will be, given if the trip will be made.
