DR JOHN R. MOTT.
Dr John K. Mott, who is the world’s hestknown student leader and missionary statesman, will arrive in Auckland on April 20 for a short Dominion tour. Ho is a big man in every way. physically as well as mentally and spiritually. His singleness of mind and concentration on certain definite ends combine to strengthen that impression. His extensive world travels in order to attain these ends suggest that Dr Mott is the Paul of this generation. When he graduated from Princeton University 33 years ago several careers were open to him, but he decided to devote his life to the welfare of students. He has unswervingly held to his purpose and when the Into President Wilson asked him to become the U.S.A. Ambassador to China, ho declined to forsake his life work. The world is undoubtedly his parish, and as Christian leader and statesman be is honoured everywhere, in the Old World as well as the Xew, in the East as in the West. In his present tour of New Zealand be will devote bis attention chiefly to students.
