BREACH OF PROMISE CASE FUR COAT THE CAUSE. A breach of promise case that is sure to create a great d»al of interest will shortly be held in Dunedin, the parties being well-known in this city. As far as can be learned at present a fur coat is the cause of the trouble. It appears that the young man (who hold*, a responsible position in Dunedin) had promised, on the day he proposed and was accepted, that he would purchase his bride-to-be a fur coat, but the promise had not been kept, the excuse being that he could not find in Dunedin a coat worthy of his charming fiancee. She was about to break the engagement, when Madame Menere, who is holding a display of Russian and Canadian Furs in the Wentworth Hall, Stock Exchang Buildings (upstairs) arrived. The young man paid an early visit to the display, and purchased a magnificent real Alaska seal cot. trimmed with Russian skunk, much under the N.Z, wholesale price. To-day “all is well.” r The display will continue all this week,' and is worth going a long way to see. Magnificent furs are being almost given away.—Advt.
