The statement regarding the owners’ attitude in connection with the threat of the Federated Engine-drivers and Firemen Association to strike in view of the alleged reduction in wages under the recent award of the Coal Tribunal, says that no puch reduction was made, and continues; "On the contrary, material advances and concessions in conditions and shorter hours from 46 to 43-have been awarded.”
