The Kamo was again delayed In loading operations on Saturday owing to a shortage of waterside labour. She is now timed to sail to-day for Wellington, Napier, and aborne, via ports. The Storm loaded a quantity of wool at Port Chalmers on Saturday and sailed for Wellington direct. She is due back at Dunedin on Wednesday to load for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui. The Mahia left Pori Chalmers on Saturday morning for New Plymouth to continue Homeward loading. Her other loading ports are Wanganui roadstead, Picton, Wellington, and Lyttelton. She is scheduled to sail from Lyttelton on Mav 6 for London, via Montevideo and Teneriffe. The Breeze, which arrived here late yesterday afternoon from Lyttelton, is timed to sail to-night for Timard, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui. The Waipahi sailed on Saturday afternoon for Lyttelton to complete loading for Wellington and Auckland. The Waikouaiti sailed yesterday afternoon for Lyttelton and Timaru to discharge the remainder of her Australian cargo and load produce for Sydney. ■ , The ketch Miro came to Dunedin yesterday morning from Port Chalmers. She will load general cargo to-day for Auckland. The steamer Knaresbro sailed on Saturday afternoon for Port Pirie, where the remainder of her New York cargo will be discharged. The Oamaru Harbour Board notifies that Cape Wanbrow light is now lighted by a 100 light. The light should be visible at a distance of 15 miles. The Hurunui arrived at Newcastle on April 5 for bunkers before proceeding to Auckland, where she is due on April 15 to commence loading under the auspices of the Federal S.N. Company for West of England ports. The vessel will also take in cargo at Ciaborne, Wanganui, New Plymouth. Lyttelton, and Wellington, and is to sail finally from Wellington on May 8. CROSSHILL WITH PHOSPHATES. The steamer Crossbill, which was delayed at Lyttelton for over a week on account of trouble with her crew, arrived at Port Chalmers < n Saturday morning. She has 2300 ton s of Ocean Island phosphates for discharge to the agency of Messrs Kempthorne, Prosser, and Co. t ATHOLL FROM NEW YORK. The steamer Atholl arrived at Dunedin yesterday afternoon from New York, , via Panama and Lyttelton. She was berthed at the Victoria wharf to discharge a large quantity of general merchandise. The vessel will sail about Wednesday for Hobart and Launceston to complete discharge. MONTAGUE FROM PACIFIC COAST. The Montague is now expected at Dunedin on April 17 from Pacific Coast ports, via Auckland, Wellington, and Lyttelton. The vessel has a large quantity of general merchandise, case oil, and lumber for discharge at this port. NORWEGIAN STEAMER TUGELA. The Norwegian steamer Tukela, with general cargo from Antwerp and Durban, and hardwood timber from Western Australia, was to leave Bunbury on March 25 for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Auckland. NORFOLK CLEARS PANAMA. The Norfolk arrived at Panama on April 2, and sailed again the same day for London, en route from Wellington, The vessel sailed from Wellington on March 13. — s> MATATUA AND KUMARA.AT LONDON. The Matatua, which left Bluff on February 23, arrived at London on April 6. The Kumara, which left Auckland on February IS, arrived at London on April 3. GISBORNE BREAKWATER. The Gisborne Harbour Board notifies that extensions of the breakwater will shortly be commenced. It is intended to deposit stones on the line of the existing breakwater extending 233 degrees 700 ft from its end. Vessels exceeding 9ft draught must not pass over the area comprising the breakwater extension. . SIRDHANA’S MAIDEN VOYAGE. The British-Indla Line steamer Sirdhana. which arrived at Fremantle on March 25 from England, via Capetown and Singapore, is making her maiden voyage to Australia. Captaiu D. J 11‘Gowan, late of the steamers Torilla and Gracchus, said that two other steamers similar to the Sirdhana, which were now in the China trade, would replace vessels now in the Australian run. The Sirdhana was specially constructed for the tropical trade. Accommodation is provided for 68 first-class and second-class, and 20 steerage passengers. There are 12 steel lifeboats, one of which is fitted with wireless. The vessel is fitted with the latest appliances for closing watertight doors. Emergency pumping and lighting plants are installed on the ton deck. Engines are of the reciprocating triple expansion type, of 4090 horse-power, and a speed of 15 knots was attained during the initial trials. WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE.
