ROSE’S TOUR ABROAD. (Feu United Pres? Association.) WELLINGTON', April 10. At a special meeting of the New /ealand Amateur Athletic Association held to-dav a farewell was given to Rose and MTlolm. who will leave to-morrow night for Auckland. It was stated that they would proceed, via Vancouver, to New York, where they would he met by B. Krogness. .pin.. and also representatives of the American A.A.A. Then they will go to England, whore they will he met by the council’s representative. A. E. Porritt. Rose will compete in England on July 3. Responding to his farewell. Rose said ho fnllv inten tod to do his ver' host. MTTolm promised to do his duties thoroughly, id said that Rose was one of the most promising New Zealand athletes ever sent abroad.
