CITY POLICE COURT.

Saturday, April 10. (Before Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M.) TAMPERED WITH MOTOR CAR. Sidney Edward Colo and John Cooney pleaded guilty to a charge of unlawfully attempting to convert to their own use a Ford motor car, valued at £9O, the property of the Stewart Isbister Electrical Co.. Dowling street.—Senior Sergeant Quartermam said that both men were overseas sailors and had missed their ship. They were under the influence of liquor at the time. Though they did not succeed in starting the car they were found switching on the lights and interfering with the machinery.—Cole said that they did not mean to do any harm.—The Magistrate: You were going for a joy ride? —Cole: It wasn’t exactly that. JUVENILE COURT. As Mr \V. Lock (Juvenile Probation Officer) had submitted satisfactory reports, two boys were not asked to appear incourt. —One was charged with stealing coal to the total value of £3, the property of the New Zealand Government, on divers dates between January 2 and March 17- The other was charged with thev left of £3 in cash.— Doth were admonished and discharged.
