LIFE OF PARLIAMENT.
MR O’REGAN’S ALLEGATION (Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, April 10. In an interview this morning Mr P. J. O’Regan, of Wellington, said that though no specific disclosure had been made on the point, there was a tacit conspiracy between the present Government and certain powerful political forces regarding the destruction of triennial Parliaments. This was being done under the specious pretence of licensing reform, and was aimed at the restoration of quinquennial Parliaments.
