FRIDAY AND FINE WEATHER.
A GOOD ATTENDANCE TOTAL. Pessimists often declare that Friday in Dunedin is invariably accompanied by wet weather. The past has certainly justified this statement to a great extent, but yesterday the rule was broken, and conditions at Logan Park were mild and pleasant. The long list of Exhibition attractions was increased by the opening cf the basket ball tournament in the sports ground. The public was again responsive, and thousands poured through the main gates in the afternoon and evening. Friday is considered an off-day, and in view of this Hie attendance total was very satisfactory The crowds came early and stayed late, enjoying every feature to the utmost. The total for the day was 19,242, making the grand total 2,588,014.
THE ATTRACTIONS INCREASE.
