THE LEVERHULME SALE. ■ At the final sale of Lord Leverhulme’s collection in New York the highest price was paid by Governor Fuller, of Massachusetts, who bought*. Martin Shee’s picture, “The Annesley Children,” for £I7OO. A portrait of Sir Brooke Boothbv by Raeburn fetched £I2OO, and Sir Joshua Reynold’s famous “Venus and Cupid’’ was knocked down for onlv £IOSO. Sir Joshua Reynold's full-length portraits of George 111 and his consort, Quern Charlotte, were knocked down for the amazingly low figure of £l5O. The sales for the evening amounted to £22.143, making a grand total of £69,438 for the whole collection of 296 pictures.
