AUSTRALIAN LABOUR
EFFECT OF AMALGAMATION. NEW ALIGNMENT OF FORCES. (Frets Assv-laMoa—By Telegraph—Copyright.) SYDNEY, April 8. The eCect of the amalgamation of the deposed executive faction and the industrial section of the Australian Labour Party Conference will be to prevent the militants, led by Messrs Beasely- and Garden, gaining control of the Labour machine, which, it is contended, would mean imperilling the life of the Government. If the amalgamation is successful th, Australian Workers’ Union will exercise a dominating influence on the new Australian Labour Party executive.
