CITY POLICE COURT.
Thursday, April 8. (Before Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M.) MAINTENANCE. Joseph Bretton Harrison was charged with disobedience of a maintenance order on which he was i arrears to th ■ amount of £29 ss.—Senior Sergeant Quarterns in stated that defendant had been arrested 50 miles inland from Kurow on a warrant which had already been in force for two years, and .applied for a remand for one week.—His Worship ordered defendant to be remanded in custody until M ednesday next. BREAKING AND ENTERING CHARGE. Robert Thomas Beveriuge was charged with having, on April 5, at Port Chalmers, broken ana entered the dwelling of Thomas Collier, and stolen therefrom jewellery and money to the value of £M On the application of Cheif Detective Lewis who stated the facts had been admitted by the accused, a remand was granted until Friday next to allow the evidence to be prepared
