LORD TORRINGTON.
FOUND GUILTY OF THEFT. (Pr«e» Association—By Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, March 23. When found guilty of stealing a motor car which he was purchasing by instalments and illegally resold, the bench bound over Viscount Torrington for three years, declaring: “We do not want to make a gaolbird of you.”—A. and N.Z. Cable. Viscount Torrington was acquitted in October last on a charge of offering a worthless cheque at a Nottingham tank. He married a Gaiety actress, but was divorced in 1921. Kis bankruptcy in 1919 included a debt of £IO,OOO to his first wife. "
