FIRST, GLIMPSE OF SEA. (Feom Oub Own Correspondent.) SIDNEY, January 22. Eighty poor children £jom away out-baok have come to Sydney on a •s.onderiul voyage qf discovery. They belong to districts such as Cobai, Wilcannia, and Bcvrke, and it has taken not a few of them more than a week to reach the city of their dreams. Not any of them had previously seen the sea. The first glimpse of the harbour was cause for wide-eyed wonderment—‘ Gee, what a big dam!” was oveihearo. Then to their lamp at Manly and the revelation of beach and surf. “Gosh, Sydney kids are lucky!” This splendid tour has been organised by the Far West Mission, which is out to help the less fortunate and delicate children of the back-blocks. The youngsters, girls and boys, were, alter medical examination, carefully’ selected by doctors, municipal and hospital authorities, and teachers, irrespective of religious denomination.
