NEW ZEALAND STUDENTS. (From Ode Own Correspondent.) LONDON, January 15. Mr Richard Hill (Auckland), who ia engaged in research at Oxford, has been, elected secretary of the Oxford Union Society. Dr N; A. Jory, M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P., St Bartholomew’s Hospital, is one of thirtythree new Fellows of the Royal College of Surgeons, England. The «x iimnation took place in November, and iOS candidates presented themselves. Thirty-six; were successful, but three, not having attained the requisite age, were not entitled to receive the diploma. Dr Jory, it will be remembered, was awarded an N.Z.E.F. scholarship, and he elected to take medicine. He qualified at St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical School. Two New Zealanders who came together to England about tw-o years ago to continue their studies in arcMtecture are Mr B. E. Ward (Napier) and Mr A. D. Campbell (Eltham). Thev are both taking courses at London University and are both working with well-known architects. Shortlv after arriving, Mr Ward was for some months at Leicester, with Mr G. snott, an architect, under_ whom he took English domestic work. Now he is with. Mr F. W. Troup, as draughtsman. In conjunction with Mr Herbert Baker, R.A., Mr Troup is engaged on the alterations of the Bank of England, and the experience for the New Zealander is very fine. Mr Connel is with Mr Edward Hunt, another (well-known architect. Mr lan C. Horton (Auckland) and Trinity Hall, Cambridge, has won the Fresh el’s Sculls.
