TECHNICAL INSTRUCTORS.
ANNUAL COMFERSNCE, On Friday, the third day of the Technical Teachers’ Conference, the question of part? time day classes was discussed. Mr Grahanf reported that in connection with the building trade these classes had been carried call to a small extent in Wellington with very satisfactory results. The representatives from Wellington and Christchurch stated that they had received considerable support from Advisory and Apprenticeship Committees in their respective centres. On Friday afternoon members of the conference visited the Exhibition, and at tb* invitation of the manager of the Education Court a message was prepared which will be broadcasted through the Dominion tomorrow. In it they will voice the hope that the Government will encourage and assist parties of school children from other parts of the Dominion to visit the Exhibition. It was recognised that the exhibits In the Education Court, wooid prove a source of interest and be of great educational value to pupils and students. On Saturday a number of the visitors, accompanied by their wives, were motored to Walpori. The power house and wort* proved of special Interest to the engineer**® instructors.
