POTATO CROPS
ADVERSELY AFFECTED IN TASMANIA. HOPE FOR LATE CROPS 7 (Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright.} SYDNEY, January 19. Reports from Tasmania show that cold snaps and droughts have adversely affected the potato crop. After an excellent start, the plants became wilted, particularly in the earlier districts. There is --etill hope for the crop providing that an early rainfall occurs. The oats and pea crop have also suffered severely.
