PROPOSAL TO INCREASE VALUE. TEN TO THE SHILLING. (Prem Association—By Tolegnph—CopyriuM.i LONDON, January 17. The Federation of British Industries urges the appointment of a Government committee to investigate a proposal to increase the value of the penny by 20 per cdnt., making ten pennies to the decimal system without any changes in shiling, and thereby introducing the the denominations or requiring a special knowledge of decimals in home trade.— Sydney Sun Cable.
