PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to the provisions of ‘'The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 19! 3,” and its amendments, and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, that subject to the consent of the Ratepayers, the Green Island Borough Council proposes raising a Special Loan of £6500 for the purpose of effecting improvements to the back streets of the Borough of (jreen Island (exclusive of Runciraan street), particulars of such purpose are as follows: (a) . The security proposed to he pledged to meet the annual charges on the proposed Loan and its repayment is an annually recurring Special Rate of Three ponce Three Farthings (3fd) in'the £ on the rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Green Island, such Rate to be calculated on the basis of the annual value as appearing on the Valuation Roll for the time being in force. The currency of the Loan to be for a period of twenty years from the date of the issue of the Debentures, or such other term as may be lawfully prescribed. The provision for the repayment of the Loan is that the said Loan shall he repaid in full at the dadte of the maturity of the Debentures to be created in respect of the same. A Sinking Fund of 1 per centum j>er annum on the amount of Ihe snid Loan shall be provided towards such repayment. ]t is proposed to pay out of the said Loan the cost of raising the same, but not the interest and sinking fund for the first year of the Loan.
