REDUCTION OF EMPLOYEES. (Pre«» Association —By Telegraph—Copyright) SYDNEY, January 13. According to the report of the Public Service Board, the complement of the Public Service has been reduced by 642 (part and full-time employees) since 1920, despite the fact that the population has increased by 185,000 in the same period. At June 15 last there were 17,702 fulltime and 618 part-time officers and employees. The number of scnool teachers was considerably below the requirements of the Education Department.
