WOMAN’S LONG WALK.
FROM SPAIN TO ROME. FULFILMENT OF A TOW. Talcs are many of the Pilgrims coming to Borne on foot from long distances, says a message sent from Rome on August 8, but surely no one has ever attempted a harder journey for the sake of fulfilling a vow than a young .Spanish mother who has just arrived with her three children. They left home on the ninth of last Decomber. The eldest of the children is seven, and the other two are four and two respectively. These two smaller ones have had very frequently to be carried by their enterprising mother. The family mads this journey on foot, passing through Spain, crossing: Prance and entering Italy, going on until their desired destination was reached. Luisa Cruces. the mother, does not appear at all tired, and the children look fresh and well. She is extremely happy at having accomplished her object, and has already received the Papal benediction. She left home with about 23 pesetas, and her only means of malting any money was by the sale of a postcard with the photograph of herself and her family.
