RECORD SALE FOR. DOMINION. OVER. I?,0CO GUINEAS REALISED (Pkb united Peebs ASSOCIATION.) NAPLER, October 20.. To-day marked tho closing chapter in tho history of onie of New Zealand's greatest beef cattle studs, when over 10,000 guineas was totalled for Mr Robert Bell's Ben Lomond Aberdeen Angus stud. Australian bidders contended for many of the picked, animals, and secured two of the champions—Olaf of Ben Lomond (Royal champion) and Rex of Ben Lomond (1924 Hastings champion) at 230 guineas. The sensation of the daiy was, however, the sale of the yearling, Turk of Ben Lomond, at. 220 guineas to Gwavas Station. Fifty-six two-year-old bulls averaged 44i guineas and 47 yearlings 33£ guineas. The sale is held to be a record for the Dominion.
